Writ Petitions against Police Atrocities

Since the fundamental rights enshrined in Part III of the Constitution of India are intended to protect the rights to equality, freedom, protection of  life and personal liberty and right against exploitation there is every possibility that the human rights of an individuals or class of individuals are subjected to violation by the authorities of the state and in such event the aggrieved person(s) is not only entitled to approach the State  Human Rights Commissions or National Human Rights Commission but also the High Court under Article 226 and the Supreme Court under Article 32 of Constitution of India to enforce the fundamental rights to protect the human rights.
